Great heat and head space, not a good set up

This hair dryer is very strong and has good setting options. It does fit the head even in full jumbo rollers, which isn't easy to find. But if you want to move, you have to figure out how to get the stand to go back up to the position it was in when you sat down, while your arms are behind you and you can't see. Not an easy task. It should stay put, or at least have a latch for this intent. Bad set-up design. But the motorworks are good, and so are the options for settings. The price was reasonable and it would be an excellent purchase if it would stay put.

Super hair dryer

We bought 3 HotTools #1061 Salon Dryers in 2 mo's because they're the BEST for a full head of jumbo rollers, and the price is an excellent value. It's a copy of the Daisy dryers my wife has happily used the past 20 years. The bonnet is extra large, and the air holes come all the way down to the lower edge. Hair is quickly dryed around the sides and back as well as the top. A unique hinging system allows the bonnet to easily be raised, lowered, and leveled just by pulling up/down on the front edge. It's so easy to raise the hood to leave the chair, and then lower & level the hood when sitting down. Proper height is easy to establish because the hood support column can be raised/lowered in addition to putting books under the dryer & adjusting chair height. The 1200 watt hi heat is more than enough to dry quickly. After 10 min, the medium heat setting is best because the hi setting is quite hot. Buying a 1875 watt dryer is overkill, wasting electricity, and silly because most people switch to a lower heat setting after the 1st 10min's anyway. Many new dryers are now made of flimsy lightweight materials, using air hole patters that only come slightly past the halfway point on the hood. This dryer is solid, sturdy, and reasonably quiet. We expect each dryer to last 4 or 5 yrs, and my wife is fairly rough on appliances. The supplier, Beauty-in-Black, shipped each new unit quickly from TX, well packed, using FedEx. We are very pleased customers, and highly recommend this item to users of bonnet hair dryers!

Not What's In The Picture or Description! Poor Quality.

I ordered this for my 86 year old mother thinking it was the 4 setting control white model with gold and black stickers/lettering that was on the picture. Instead they substituted the newer 1061 Hot Tools 2 setting model with Pink lettering that everyplace else on the internet has for much cheaper than Lil Gift LLC. My mother set it up and turned it on, well, the hot is way too hot and the low is too low, and there is no in between. It is also very cheap construction and difficult for an older person's arthritic hands to adjust.DO NOT ORDER this product from Lil Gift, LLC. They are substituting a cheaper version than what is in the picture. I purchase a lot of stuff on Amazon.com, but this seller has just lost a potential customer. I will be paying a bit more to find a good dryer for my mom, but The Hot Tools pink model 1061 is poor quality.
