Not only is it stylish, but it is light weight and gets very hot with the highest setting! The lowest setting also blows very cool air (not just room temp air). I would definitely recommend this product.

received a broken blow dryer, like they shipped out a returned dryer

the blow dryer that Iso shipped looks like a returned blow dryer. there are chipped pieces on the body of the dryer and it rattles like there are loss parts inside. when you turn on the dryer, it sounds and smells funny like it is going to explode.i filed a return request. we'll see if Iso makes this right.

Product Description

The Barbar ECO8000 blow dryer is the only dryer on the market equipped with an ceramic heating element. All other dryers are equipped with coil heating elements, even those that use ceramic technology, which means a coil heating element that has been coated with ceramic. The two main differences between ceramic and coil heating elements are the EMF emission and electricity output. EMF is radiation, and it's measured in milligauss. Standard dryers equipped with coil heating elements emit over 200 mG of EMF. The ECO8000 emits 4.1 mG of EMF. A staggering difference. And to make a comparison: a microwave emits over 200 mG of EMF. So a standard dryer with a coil heating element emits as much radiation as a microwave. A standard dryer equipped with a coil heating element wastes electricity/energy because it doesn't efficiently use it. And wasted electricity/energy turns into radiation. The ECO8000 saves electricity/energy because the ceramic heating element efficiently uses it. If no electricity/energy is wasted or burned, there's little to no radiation emission. The ECO8000 blows clean heat, which is heat without radiation. With 1,100 watts of power, equivalent in heat and blowing power to a standard 1,800 watt blow dryer, you can be health conscious without sacrificing performance.

I'm a believer

I bought the dryer because I wanted something that didn't put out all the radiation. When I first turned it on, it emitted a mild odor and I thought there was something wrong with it. The smell went away almost instantly and I started to blow dry my hair. It's fantastic! It blows well, gets nice and hot and it takes me less time to dry than my Conair...that's for sure! I'm a very satisfied customer.

best dryer for the price

i have been on a quest to find a dryer that straightens, softens and adds shine. this dryer does all of the above. my mother had the dryer first...i was skeptical to purchase my own because it looked old school and she loves all things old school (whether they work or not). BUT the new-fangled, super expensive, so called professional dryers i kept investing in were not giving me the results i was looking for. long story short, i love it! i am african american with medium textured hair (my mom is mixed with soft hair) the dryer works perfectly for both of us.

Very stylish, but a bit of a let down.

Needed a new hair dryer after my Conair Ion Shine broke, so as I saw this on Groupon for sale, I opted to try out a new brand.Although the style is fabulous, it is pretty heavy. Dry time is also not as fast as I would have hoped, even on the highest and hottest setting (and I have fine, long hair, so it should dry fairly fast). Also, no swivel cord, and it's pretty loud on the highest setting.On the plus side, it does leave my hair pretty soft, even without putting on hair treatments, or heat protectors, and the heat is just warm enough that it doesn't burn my scalp like my old Conair did. Also, the filter is supposedly removable so you can clean it out. Have not used it long enough to see if this works, but will try it soon.An okay dryer - in my opinion it's not worth the $200 list price, but on sale at $50, it'll do the job.

Much better than the $20 dryers

I bought the Pro TT because I was looking for a dryer that would dry my hair faster and with less frizz than the non-professional dryers I have owned in the past. The air from this dryer is much hotter than the air from the other dryers I have used in the past. Oddly, I wouldn't say that this translates into faster drying, but it does make for less frizzy hair (although if you want completely sleek hair, you're going to need a flat iron as well). One thing to note though is that the more time you are willing to spend drying your hair (drying it in sections like a hair stylist would), the better your results will be. But even if you just flip your hair over and dry it that way, you will still get decent results.The Pro TT feels well constructed and comes with a good warranty. It's not unreasonably loud either. It's also very light weight-- much lighter than a lot of the other professional dryers. The only design flaw is the soft touch required of the on/off and heat level switches. It's very easy to accidentally turn it off over and over again while drying your hair. But if you are aware of it, you can figure out how to hold it so it's not so much of a problem.As for the other bells and whistles that come with this Pro TT, the free travel dryer is WORTHLESS. You could get better and faster results from one of those pretend Barbie hair dryers for kids. And the carrying case is nice, but what you would use it for is beyond me. Unless you're a hair stylist, you're not going to be lugging that case ANYWHERE. It's cumbersome, and at the end of the day, just takes up space because it seems too nice to throw away.All in all, I do recommend this dryer if you are looking to upgrade to a professional (but still not super expensive like the $150-200 T3), lightweight dryer. But don't expect miracles-- the Pro TT is not going to give you the same blow out you get from your hair stylist. But it will give you a better blow out than you'd normally be able to give yourself.

Wonderful!

I bought this hairdryer after years of using cheaper hair dryers. I have short hair that requires a lot of styling and it was always getting damaged from the hair dryer and heat. This hair dryer is so powerful, it literally dries my hair in minutes, and it is softer than it has ever been. I have no more flyaways, and I have even had several compliments on my hair, asking if I got it cut or what I did differently. I only wish I would have realized earlier how important a really good hairdryer is. Well worth the money, I would recommend it to anyone!

This is by far the best hair dryer ever! I have been blow drying my hair everyday for the past 30+ years. This dryer gives me smooth silky hair, and also dries in a very short time. With the special deal on Amazon, I purchased 2 more for each of my sisters and they love it too! This hair dryer gives me confidence in BaByliss products, so I also purchased their curved iron as per my friend's recommendation on tomchoice, and it works wonderful too!
